Saint Martin's Basilica

Admire the medieval castle wall at WZC Sint-Augustinus from very close quarters The exposed castle wing with remains of a residential tower from the 14th century and a round corner tower was uncovered in 2004 on the site of the former Saint Mary's Hospital. This now integrated into the infrastructure of the residential care centre.
WWII bunker
Would you like to take a look inside one of Halle's 6 preserved bunkers? The Waterloo-Halle-Ninove defence line was built in early 1939 with the aim of protecting the centre of the country against possible French attacks. The line was 35 km long and consisted of 38 small bunkers (9 in Waterloo, 4 in Braine-l'Alleud, 8 in Halle, 8 in Kester, 5 in Meerbreke and 4 in Pamel).
