Zavelput woodland playground

Location
Drasop 1501 Buizingen

Zavelput is a nature reserve in the city of Halle, where Plan Boommarter are seeking to create an even more biodiverse stretch of woodland mixed with moorland. While some parts of Zavelput are set aside for nature, a whole other part is set aside for kids! At the woodland adventure playground, they can play to their heart's content without having to stick to the paths.

Ready to set out exploring? First, try to track down our kids mascot, Basiel. He'll tell you a little more about Zavelput and the future plans for this area. Basiel can be found at nine locations throughout the forest. Simply start from Drasop in Halle or Prins Boudewijnlaan in Dworp.

Here's some play tips to get you going:

  • Bring a ball and build a giant marble run on the slope using sand and sticks.
  • The chestnut coppice in the old sand pit is the perfect place for climbing.
  • Why not try and build your own camp!

Of course, this is not the only place for kids to play in Halle. Eager to see where else you could be going? Click to see all playgrounds in Halle!
